IRIS Staging
Stage chronic kidney disease in dogs and cats using the International Renal Interest Society cut-offs, with substaging for proteinuria and blood pressure.
Enter a creatinine or SDMA value to stage, and add UPC or blood pressure for substaging.
IRIS staging applies only to a stable, well-hydrated patient — never during a dehydration crisis or acute illness, and ideally on at least two measurements taken days apart. Results must be interpreted alongside urine specific gravity, imaging and the individual clinical picture by your veterinarian.
